Longevity Over Disposability
Products should be built to last, not designed to be thrown away. Every AusPen marker is made to keep going for years.
If Your Marker Ends Up in the Bin,
It’s Not an AusPen
Designed for educators, built for sustainability, made to last. Over 2000 institutions have switched to AusPen. Save money, reduce waste, and get markers that actually work better.
Quality That Performs
Sustainability shouldn't mean compromise. Our markers write better, last longer, and cost less than disposables.
Honest Value
One refill bottle costs $8.25 and replaces 60+ disposable markers. The maths is simple. The choice should be too.
Small Operation, Big Impact
We're not a massive corporation. We're a focused team working directly with educators and businesses to change how markers are made and used.
Why 6000+ Educators Choose AusPen
Classroom Budget Savings
A typical teacher can use around 48 disposable whiteboard markers per year, costing approximately AU$60 annually.
With AusPen, a teacher's total marker cost is approximately AU$124.65 over five years. Compared with disposable markers, that's a saving of around AU$175 per teacher over five years, while significantly reducing classroom waste.
Durability for Daily Use
Classroom markers take a beating. AusPen's solid aluminium construction and replaceable parts mean they keep performing day after day, year after year.
Vibrant Colors That Engage
The vibrancy of your marker is in your control with AusPen. Recharge for a bolder hue, refill as frequently as you like. Never deal with a faded marker again.
Teaching Sustainability
AusPen gives you a practical, real-world example of sustainability to share with students. Show them how refillable products work and why they matter.

Why Businesses Choose AusPen
Cost Efficiency
A school of 50 staff throws away roughly 3,000 markers a year — a bin bag of plastic every teaching week. It also spends about $3,000 replacing them.
With AusPen, the initial investment is approximately $3,100 for 50 people. Over five years, total marker costs are approximately $6,232, compared with $15,000 for disposable markers — a saving of around $8,768 while significantly reducing waste.
Environmental Credentials
Include AusPen in your sustainability reports. Real waste reduction, real cost savings, real environmental impact. Perfect for ESG reporting.
Professional Appearance
Solid aluminium construction and consistent performance. These look and feel like quality tools, not disposable plastic.
Reduced Procurement Frequency
Stop reordering markers every month. One bulk order of refill bottles lasts significantly longer than constant disposable marker purchases.
Better Markers,
Not Just Eco Markers
Here's what makes AusPen actually work better than disposables:
1. Vibrant Colors That Don't Fade
Our ink formula delivers consistent, bold colors that stay bright from first use to last. No mid-sentence fading.
2. Low Odor Ink
Classrooms and offices shouldn't smell like chemicals. Our ethanol-based ink is significantly less harsh than typical markers.
3. Professional Construction
Solid aluminium barrels feel substantial in your hand. These aren't flimsy plastic markers that crack or leak.
4. Replaceable Parts = Consistent Performance
When a nib wears down, replace just the nib. When ink runs low, refill it. You're always working with fresh components.
5. Always Ready
Classroom mishaps happen. When a marker dries out, simply swap the nib and get back to work in minutes.
The Environmental Math
Sustainability isn't just a marketing angle for us. It's the entire reason AusPen exists.
Materials
AusPen markers are made with solid aluminium barrels (infinitely recyclable),
replaceable nibs and reservoirs, and refillable ink in recyclable bottles.
Ink Formula
Our ink uses an ethanol and 2-propanol base
— significantly less harsh than the xylene and toluene found in most disposable markers. Low odor, low toxicity, and just as vibrant.
Waste Diverted
With 6000+ educators using AusPen,
and each avoiding the use of approximately 48 disposable markers every year, that's more than 288,000 markers diverted from landfill annually.
Recyclable Components
When you eventually do need to replace a nib or reservoir, they can be recycled. Refill bottles are fully recyclable. The aluminium barrel lasts indefinitely.
